WE ARE COMMITTED:

No Rain, No Rainbows mission is to bring compassion and reassurance to those who need it most, with a particular focus towards vulnerable women and young people impacted by trauma, particularly abuse, by providing animal assisted therapy and alternative education delivered virtually and by community engagement.

No Rain, No Rainbows

Set in 8 acres, inside the beautiful grounds of Amitola Wonderland, South of Indianapolis, U.S.A, No Rain, No Rainbows is busy designing and planning our first miniature Animal Therapy Farm.  Luna Ray has recently certified as No Rain, No Rainbows resident Therapy Dog, and soon as we achieve our goals we will be bringing home these two adorable and extremely loveable, dinky donkeys to join our Rainbows Animal Therapy Family.

Research has shown that spending time with animals has enormous therapeutic benefits, boosting confidence, self esteem and helping to improve emotional and social skills.  The transformation in people is often instantaneous.  Miniature donkey's are naturally calm animals, they have a slow and steady presence which gives a feeling of security and comfort to those feeling vulnerable or suffering from emotional difficulties.

Touching, grooming and cuddling donkeys is a great social facilitator, allowing people to relax and feel a sense of nurturing and connection. They bring compassion and reassurance to those to need it most, gentle, tender and understanding, gifting confidence and trust in a way that people often can’t, because people are so often damaged by people.

Animals offer so many gifts, the greatest of all being, unconditional love.

“In an age we are more connected than ever through social media, we are more disconnected than ever; depression being the no 1 dis-ease globally.  It is essential to recognize that a person’s health and well-being may be improved by prescribing contact with other living things."

Katie Wyatt - President and founder of No Rain, No Rainbows - Centre For Brave Hearts.

Time for Change

We believe the key to improve our society is teaching social and emotional intelligence.  With love, guidance and support, women and children begin to realize they already possess the tools to live happier, more inspired lives.

The programs help to build their confidence and self worth, they reconnect to themselves and others, provide a tool kit to manage the not so good days better and make calmer, healthier, more conscious choices that positively impact every area of their lives.

Why we do

In 2019 the World Health Organization statistics showed us that more women and children are experiencing Rape, Domestic Abuse, Self-Harming, Bullying, Addiction, Eating Disorders, Mental Abuse, Depression, Suicide and Anxiety.

  1. More than 1 in 3 women (35.6%) in the U.S. report having experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. (source)

  2. Nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this adds up to more than 10 million women and men.

  3. 85% of domestic violence victims are female.

  4. Approximately 5 million children are exposed to domestic violence every year. Children exposed are more likely to attempt suicide, abuse drugs and alcohol, run away from home, engage in teenage prostitution, and commit sexual assault crimes.

The numbers may be staggering, but there are so many great organizations working to both end Domestic Violence and support its victims that we believe together we can make this change.

Lots of life changing ideas to put into place/practice.

Helping with my anxiety and depression and physical symptoms - slowly becoming more mobile.  The workshop for me was very enlightening. Thankyou for all your support.

Debbie

Even when challenges arrive, I feel a sense of calm rather than panic, and visualize a positive outcome.  No matter what your issues, situations, beliefs, concerns or fears, the workshops are run with love and passion and a energy which is infectious and inspirational.

Loria

A huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I felt it's time for me to come out of my shell and not allow others to dominate me my life. I am healing, I now have a peace about myself and I'm starting to think in a calm and positive way. This is a big step forwards for me.
